Sai Sudharsan also played in IPL 2023, for Gujarat Titans. He first came into the picture when Kane Williamson got injured in the very first game of IPL 2023. Sai Sudharsan came in as an impact player and played a handy knock to get the team over the line in a run chase. Overall, he scored 3 half centuries in 8 matches in the tournament including an outstanding knock of 96 off 47 balls in the final. Unfortunately, he ended up on the losing side.
Sai Sudharsan started his TNPL 2023 very well. Till now, in 3 games of TNPL 2023, he scored 86, 90, and 64 against ITT, NRK, and CSG respectively. His team won two of the matches and he was the man of the match in one of those matches. Sai can roll his arm and is a very useful off-spinner as well
His ability to build inning and score quick runs when needed is immense. All eyes will be on him and if he does well, LKK’s chances will get better in the tournament. He will be the player to watch out for in TNPL 2023.
(2) R Ashwin
R Ashwin, after being left out of the playing XI in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2023, has come back in professional cricket in TNPL 2023. He is leading his side Dindigul Dragons and they won both of their starting games against BT and SMP.
R Ashwin himself has bowled well and took 3 wickets in 2 games till now. He is also quite economical in terms of giving away runs. R Ashwin’s playing will give DG a huge strength as he has a very good cricketing mind and he can lead the team to a huge height. Dindigul is still looking for their first title. TNPL 2023 might be their year.
R Ashwin is a very good street-smart bowler when it comes to limited-overs cricket. He can bat as well but he is not batting up the order. It will be interesting to see if he bats higher later in the tournament.
R Ashwin is a champion player and will be the one to look for in TNPL 2023.
(3) Sonu Yadav
The left-arm spinner used to play for Ruby Trichy Warriors, Karaikudi Kaalai, and Chepauk Super Gillies in the TNPL. But in TNPL 2023 auction, he went on to get a deal of INR 15.2 lakh by Nellai Royal Kings.
Sonu Yadav is also a very good lower-order batsman who can contribute some useful runs. The bowling all-rounder appeared in 11 List A contests and amassed 82 runs, the highest of which was 37. In 11 List A games and nine T20 games, respectively, Yadav had taken ten wickets, till now.
(4) Varun Chakravarthy
He made his reputation as a mystery spinner over the years. Varun Chakravarthy is a very hard bowler to get away with. It is very difficult to hit runs against him as he has so many tricks in his armory. He will be the one to watch out for in TNPL 2023.
(5) Vijay Shankar
The batting all-rounder used to be a key player for Team India in 2019. But injuries and a few bad performances cost him a place in the Indian Team.
He did well in IPL 2023 for Gujarat Titans and played a few crucial knocks during the tournament. And now, he is playing for IDream Tiruppur Tamizans in TNPL 2023. They bought him for INR 10.25 lakh in the auction. The team would hope that Vijay Shankar will continue his good form in TNPL 2023.

(7) Pradosh Ranjan Paul
A lot of eyes will be on Pradosh after a successful first-class season for Chepauk Super Gillies. He is the first cricketer from the textile hub of Tiruppur to play in the Ranji Trophy, but his TNPL numbers show he can have a big year.
291 runs in 20 innings at 16.17 with an SRO of 100 – these are as bad as it gets. It is possible, however, that we will see a different version of Pradosh this season. One who scored 631 runs across nine innings, earning three tons and two fifties in the last Ranji Trophy. All those runs came from the middle order, and he even captained Tamil Nadu once. Super Gillies hope Pradosh carries forward his form into TNPL.
