(1) Sai Sudharsan, INR 21.6 lakh

Sai Sudharsan becomes the most expensive player in TNPL 2023 auction. Lyca Kovai Kings (LKK) got him for a whopping INR 21.6 lakh in the auction. Sai Sudharsan also represented Gujarat Titans (GT) in the recently concluded IPL 2023. He first came into the scene when Kane Williamson got injured during the first game of GT against CSK. Sai came out as an impact player and played a crucial cameo to get the team over the line in a run chase.

Overall, he scored 3 fifties in IPL 2023 in 8 games, including his outstanding knock of 96 off 47 balls in the final of IPL 2023. Unfortunately, he ended up on the losing side as CSK chased down a revised target of 171 in 15 overs.

The left-hander is the most expensive player in Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2023 and all eyes will be on him. If he does well for LKK, his team’s chances will get increase. His ability to build inning and score quick runs when needed is immense.

The all-rounder has started to build up some buzz after making his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on September 24. Later, Yadav made his first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy as well, and his performance there stunned everyone. He finished the first innings with nine wickets and finished the year as the third-best first-class cricket player in India.

This year, in TNPL 2023 auction, Nellai Royal Kings bought him for INR 17.6 lakh. The left-hander is also a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and can bowl four overs as well. As an all-rounder, he brings balance to the team.

The bowling all-rounder has played in over 17 List A matches and scored 394 runs with a top score of 81. In his 33 T20 matches, he has scored 533 runs. The all-around bowler has also taken 19 wickets in 33 T20 games and 23 wickets in 17 List A games.

Mumbai Indians (MI) also bought him in IPL 2021 but he didn’t get the opportunity in the playing XI. But if he does well in TNPL 2023, we might see him playing in IPL again.

(3) Sonu Yadav, INR 15.2 lakh

With a base price of INR 2 lakh, he went on to get a deal of INR 15.2 lakh. Along with Sanjay Yadav, Nellai Royal Kings also invested in him as well to strengthen their team. The left-arm spinner is also a very good lower-order batter who can get some crucial runs if needed.

The bowling all-rounder appeared in 11 List A contests and amassed 82 runs, the highest of which was 37. In 11 List A games and nine T20 games, respectively, Yadav had taken ten wickets, till now. He has formerly played for Ruby Trichy Warriors, Karaikudi Kaalai, and Chepauk Super Gillies in the TNPL.

(4) Harish Kumar, INR 12.8 lakh

Chepauk Super Gillies, the most successful team in TNPL history bought him for INR 12.8 lakh in TNPL 2023 auction.

He started his TNPL career in 2018 when he played for Madurai Panthers. Harish is a good choice because of his skills and capacity for composure under pressure. He will look to justify his price tag in TNPL 2023. Let’s see how he does.

(5) Swapnil Singh, INR 12 lakh

He becomes one of the most expensive players in the TNPL 2023 auction when Madurai Panthers bought him for INR 12 lakh.

Swapnil made his name when he used to play for LKK in TNPL and did well. He also went on to play for the state in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Swapnil has also been a part of the Mumbai Indians squad but could not get any opportunity to play in the IPL.
