

The Hyderabad-based franchise, SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad) is one of the best teams in the history of IPL. They are one of the teams who won the IPL title.

SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad) only title in the IPL history
Sunrisers Hyderabad won their only title in 2016 in the captaincy of D Warner. They beat V Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the final of the IPL 2016.
SRH batted first in the final. Captain D Warner and S Dhawan put on a 63 runs opening stand. In that partnership, D Warner was the aggressor and S Dhawan was playing second fiddle. Shikhar D scored 28 off 25 balls with 3 fours and a six.
D Warner got out in the 14th over. He scored 69 off 38 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes.
Y Singh and B Cutting played crucial cameos and help SRH to score a mammoth total of 208. The former played a knock of 38 off 23 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. And the latter played a quick-fire cameo of 39 off just 15 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes.
C Jordon took 3 wickets for 45 runs in his 4 overs. S Arvid and Y Chahal also managed to take 2 and 1 wicket respectively in the first inning.
RCB has gone off to a flier when they came out to bat in the second inning. Bh the openers C Gayle and V Kohli went hard on to the SRH bowlers. C Gayle was the aggressor in the 114 runs-opening stand between the pair.
The West Indian scored 76 off 38 balls with 4 fours and 8 sixes. B Cutting also chip in with the ball and broke the opening stand. V Kohli took off after his opening partner got out.
RCB was in a good position at one stage. But they lost two of their best batters V Kohli and AB de Villiers in a span of just 8 runs. The former scored 54 off 35 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes.
That is where RCB lost momentum in the run chase. They continue to lose wickets at regular intervals.
In the end, they fell just 8 short of SRH’s total. S Baby remains not out on 18 off 10 balls. B Cutting took two wickets in the second inning. Barinder Sran, M Rahman, and B Sharma also chip in with one wicket each. B Kumar bowled an economical spell and gave just 25 runs in his 4 overs. He bowled the last over really well and kept his cool in a tense game.
B Cutting was the player of the match for his all-round performance.
It was the only title SRH has won. They came close to winning the second one in 2018 when they reached the final. But CSK got the better of them and beat SRH in the final.

(1) D Warner
The former SRH captain D Warner is the first batter on this list. He was one of the key members of the SRH team over the years.
The Aussie batter has contributed so much to the franchise and helped the team to win so many games. Also, he is the only captain who won the title for SRH.
In 71 games he played for this franchise, he scored 3271 runs. Before joining this franchise, he used to play for Delhi-based franchise Delhi Daredevils. Now he is again associated with the Delhi franchise (now called Delhi Capitals).
(2) S Dhawan
The left-hander used to be an integral part of the SRH franchise for so many years. He has played so many good knocks for the team. And he was part of a leadership group of the franchise as well.
In the 85 matches he has played for the franchise, he scored 2518 runs. After SRH released him, he was bought by DC, and currently, he is associated with Punjab Kings.
(3) K Williamson
The New Zealander is one of the consistent performers for this franchise over the years. He also took the reins of the captaincy of this team when regular captain D Warner was banned due to sandpaper gate.
In 2018, the team reached the final of the IPL under the captaincy of K Williamson. They just couldn’t cross the line in the final. He was the highest run scorer in that tournament. Even when D Warner came back to the team, he was still the captain of the side.
He scored 1302 runs for this franchise in the 41 games he has played.
(4) M Henriques
The hard-hitting all-rounder M Henriques is the 4th batter on this list. He scored 755 runs for this franchise in the 37 innings of the 42 matches he played.
His ability to hit the ball makes him an x-factor on the team. Also, he contributed with the ball in hand as well. And he is a very good fielder as well.

One of the fine batters in the Indian team, M Pandey is the 5th batter on this list with 628 runs. He has scored these runs in 24 innings of the 27 matches he played for SRH.

(1) B Kumar
The experienced campaigner Bhuvi is the best bowler for SRH over the years. He is the leader of the bowling attack. In 86 matches for this franchise, he took 109 wickets with an average of 22.33.
(2) Rashid Khan
He is a genuine wicket-taker for this franchise over the years. Whenever the team was in trouble, the captain handed the ball to him and he delivered for the team most of the time.
He took 55 wickets for SRH. Now, he is associated with the new franchise Gujrat Titans, led by H Pandya. GT won the title in the last IPL edition.
(3) S Kaul
The pacer took 43 wickets for SRH. He made his debut with this franchise in the 2017 edition of the IPL

D Steyn used to be one of the best bowlers in world cricket at one stage. He was lethal, especially with the new ball.
The South African has taken 39 wickets for this franchise in 43 matches.
(5) K Sharma
The leg spinner was a part of the team who won the title in 2016. He took 37 wickets for this franchise between 2013 and 2016.
