Rinku Singh wants to join Virat Kohli’s RCB if KKR releases him: IPL 2025 mega auction
The young sensation Rinku Singh has been the revelation during the IPL 2023. He burst onto the scene when he smashed 5 sixes to Yash Dayal in the last over to win a game for KKR against GT. The left-handed aggressive middle-order batter has been one of the mainstay in Team India’s T20I setup for the last 1.5 years. After his consistent performances, he got a maiden call-up in the Indian team in August 2023 against Ireland.
Rinku Singh has been playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) since 2018. But he got the attention in the last 3 years of playing in the Indian Premier League IPL. But the selectors didn’t select him for the upcoming Duleep Trophy tournament. On that, Rinku Singh said his performance in domestic cricket cost him a place in the squad of the Duleep Trophy 2024. Rinku Singh’s ability to clear the fence in death overs makes him a valuable asset in any team. He played the role of a finisher for KKR quite well in the last few years. Rinku missed out on the T20 WC squad recently
Unfortunately, he missed out on the 15-member Team India squad that won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 recently. Shivam Dube replaced Rinku Singh in the squad due to the former’s bowling prowess.
But, we have seen some glimpses of Rinku’s bowling in Sri Lanka (SL) recently. He took two wickets in the penultimate over and gave only 3 runs in that over.
