Pakistan Cricket Team Arrived In India After Visa Clearance

Pakistan cricket team has arrived in India to play the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 after they got the visa clearance. Captain Babar Azam showed his excitement while addressing the media in the press conference. There are so many players in the squad who will play in India for the very first time. However, the Pakistan cricket team lost the first warm-up game against New Zealand (NZ), which will help them to get used to the conditions in India.

Pakistan cricket team cleared to come to India

At first, the team was facing some issues regarding the visa clearance. Because of that, they canceled their two-day team bonding session in Dubai before arriving in India.

But the issue has been resolved and they have arrived in India as well. They applied for 33 visas, which included the players, support staff, and team management.

Pakistan landed in Hyderabad

Pakistan cricket team landed in Hyderabad, where they will play two warm-up matches against New Zealand and Australia on September 29 and October 03. They will also begin their CWC 2023 campaign against the Netherlands at the same venue on October 06.

After the team landed at the airport, the cameramen from different media clicked the pictures and captured the visuals of the team.

Pakistan cricket team’s captain, Babar Azam addressed the media after his team arrived in India. Most of the players from the team will play for the first time in India. Although Babar said they are not taking too much pressure of this. The team has done their research and knows that the conditions are similar to the Asian conditions.

Babar also said he is honored to captain the team this time around. He also hopes that the team will do well and win the title as well.

Pakistan lost the first warm-up game against New Zealand

Pakistan cricket team lost their first warm-up game against New Zealand. After winning the toss, they lost both of their openers before 50 runs. But two of their reliable batters, Babar Azam and M Rizwan put on a 114-run stand for the 3rd wicket. The former scored 80 off 84 balls while the latter went on to score an outstanding hundred.

Saud Shakeel’s quick-fire 75 and the cameos from Agha Salman and Shadab Khan helped the team put 345 runs on the board.

Too easy for New Zealand

The New Zealand team didn’t find this target difficult and chased down a target in 43.4 overs. Rachin Ravindra played an outstanding knock of 97 at the top.

 Mir was the pick of the bowlers in the 2nd inning.

Pakistan’s last visit to India

Pakistan cricket team last arrived in India in 2016 for the ICC T20I World Cup. Before that, they played a bilateral ODI series in India in 2012-13. It was the last time that India and Pakistan played a bilateral series.

Now again the Pakistan cricket team will experience the atmosphere in India. And so many players from the team will play in India for the first time.

Pakistan looking for their 2nd title

Pakistan won their first-ever ICC ODI WC in 1992 under the leadership of Imran Khan. Since then, they haven’t won an ODI WC. Although they won a champions trophy and a T20 WC in that period.

Now, Babar Azam and his men would love to replicate the heroics of 1992 in India. Let’s see how they do in this tournament.
