SRH is an Indian Premier League franchise that did replace Deccan Chargers. DC was suffering from massive financial issues and finally was not able to continue in 2012. Therefore at the very same year, Sun TV network did buy the franchise with a bid of INR 85.02 crores. Moreover, the team played its first IPL in 2013. The owner of the franchise is one of the top television networks with 45 FM stations and 32 TV channels.
Now in IPL 2023, the team management did appoint Brian Lara as a new head coach. Another big change in the team is the release of Kane Williamson. However, three of them are in grave discussion. Those are, Aiden Markram, Mayank Aggarwal, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. Those three have the capability to lead the team in IPL 2023. But of course, the SRH team management had to choose one from them.

1. Aiden Markram
Aiden Markram is a South African player who did show a huge interest in being Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain. In fact, in an interview with TOI in South Africa he did say, “It would be nice if I get to lead SRH, but that’s not the end of the world for me,”
As an epic all-rounder performance, he was able to take his team, Sunrisers Eastern cape, to the finals of the SA20 league. In addition, Aiden was also the captain of the U-19 world cup 2014 team of South Africa. Though he did not get the opportunity to lead the senior team. However, in the race of finding Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain for IPL 2023, Aiden is definitely in the lead.
2. Mayank Agarwal
One of the amazing batsmen, Mayank Agarwal is also an eligible candidate to be Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain. He already has experience in captaincy with other teams. Most importantly, Mayank was a captain of one of the IPl teams. Yes, he managed and led Punjab Kings in one of the IPL seasons.
Moreover, in domestic cricket tournaments, Mayank Aggarwal was the captain of the Karnataka cricket team. In addition, his double century in the Ranji trophy gives a clear view of his current form. Thus giving him ample experience and plus points to fill the vacancy for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
3. Bhuvneshvar Kumar
The Indian national team’s star bowler is well-known to everyone. Bhuvneshvar is currently the vice-captain of SRH. Moreover, he played the role of Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain for quite a time. In fact, he did the job well too. With host experience, the SRH team management might go for him too.
In addition, he is one of the leading wicket-takers for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Also, one of the top-class death-over bowlers in International Cricket. Also, Bhuvneshvar got the purple caps for leading wicket-taker in IPL too.
In recent years, he is performing magic tricks with his bat too. There are many times when his batting did help the team to win.
Therefore in IPL 2023, Bhuvaneshvar Kumar might take the responsibility of the captain of the team, once again.

There is no official statement yet about who will be filling the vacancy of captain. But, SRH needs to decide carefully. As it’s been six straight years that the team did not win the title. To end this dry spell, the team needs someone to manage it whole by taking quick decisions under pressure. Moreover, on becoming captain the player’s individual performance must be affected negatively.
