Also, there was a very close bidding war between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. The base price of this Australian player was Rs. 2 Crore. And MI grabbed him for a big Rs. 17.50 crores.
3. Ben Stokes
Every cricket fan is well aware of this all-rounder of England with leadership quality. With the last IPL of MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings is in need of a player who has similar skills. Therefore, CSK did go to the end for Ben Stokes. Though LSG bid for him for Rs. 16 crores. But CSK raised it to Rs. 16.25 crores. Thus, now stakes will play in yellow.
4. Nicholas Pooran

The first bid for him was from CSK. But later when LSG and DC were part of it, CSK and RR backed out. At last for Rs. 16 crores, he is with LSG now.
5. Harry Brook
There is just a difference of Rs. 2.75 crores between the final bidding amount of the fourth and fifth Ipl most expensive player in 2023. Harry Brook was the choice of RCB, RR, and SRH. Though, RCB did not have much in its purse. The price went up to Rs. 13.75 crores. And Sunrisers Hyderabad is the team he will be playing for.
6. Mayank Aggarwal
The Indian batsman with experience as a captain in the IPL is sixth on the list. Surprisingly, the both fifth and sixth highest bids of IPL 2023 were by SRH. Yes, between the PBKS, CSK, SRH, and RCB, Sunrisers Hyderabad did the maximum bid of Rs. 8.25 crore for him.
7. Shivam Mavi
The Indian bowler with experienced bowling in death overs in the Indian Premier League is at number 7 of the Ipl most expensive player in 2023. Shivam Mavi is a medium-fast bowler who tricks the batsman with a slower ball in between. Gujrat Titans did make him part of their squad with Rs. 6 Crore.
8. Jason Holder
This West Indies all-rounder was the choice of both CSK and Rajasthan Royals. With his height, he bowls some accurate bouncers. The fast pace bowling of his is another key skill he has. This is why RR did not let him go. His final bid was INR 5.75 crores.
9. Mukesh Kumar
The ninth on the list is the bowler from Bengal. Mukesh Kumar did well during the recent tour to Bangladesh. The Bid for him started with CSK and DC at the Base price of Rs. 20 Lakhs. Later PBKS also joined them. Though, with Rs. 5.50 crores, DC did get him. Therefore, he is the ninth IPL most expensive player in 2023.
10. Heinrich Klassen
Heinrich Klassen is a wicketkeeper and batsman from South Africa. Also, he is a great finisher too. Also, his performance in T20 cricket is quite impressive too. Thus, he is the last on the list of the top ten Ipl most expensive players in 2023. During the bidding war between DC and SRH, SRH did manage to close the bid with INR 5.25 crores. Hence, Klassen will be playing for SRH in IPL 2023.
